We put a lot of care into our plants and products, and we want you to feel confident in what you take home. That said, due to the nature of live plants and secondhand/upcycled goods, we have a strict no-refund policy except in rare, seller oversight cases. Rare plants may qualify for our buy-back policy. Please read below for full details.

Plants

• All plant sales are final once picked up. It is the customer’s responsibility to inspect their plant at the time of pickup to ensure they are satisfied with its condition.
• If an issue is found after pickup, we will only offer refunds or exchanges in extreme cases, such as severe, hidden root rot or an active infestation that was overlooked at the time of sale. These cases must be reported within 48 hours of pickup with clear photos, and we will determine next steps at our discretion.
• After 48 hours, we are not responsible for the plant’s health, as care conditions vary and affect plant well-being. However, we are always happy to offer guidance on plant care or rehabilitation.

Non-Plant Products

• All non-plant sales are final, except in the case of a major defect that was not known at the time of purchase.
• If an item is found to be faulty due to an oversight on our part (not normal wear, buyer misuse, or upcycled charm), you must contact us within 7 days of purchase for a possible exchange or store credit.

Plant Buy-Back Policy (For Plants Over $100 Value)

We understand that sometimes life changes, and we want to ensure that rare or high-value plants continue to be well cared for. If you ever need to part with a plant originally purchased from us (valued at approx. $100+), we may offer to buy it back under the following conditions:

• The plant must be in similar or better condition to when it was sold. If so, we may buy it back at either the original purchase price or current market value, whichever is lower.
• If the plant is in worse condition (signs of neglect, pests, disease, etc.), we may still buy it back at a reduced rate—typically 20–75% of its original value, depending on the severity of depreciation.
• Buy-backs are not guaranteed and may depend on market value, depreciation due to care conditions, and our ability to take in the plant at the time. Full inspection of the plant is required before an offer is made.
• Appraised value of plants at inspection is based on factors decided exclusively by expert opinion at Dumpster Doves.
